Mi Smart Band 3i launched in India: After days of teasing, leading smartphone maker Xiaomi finally unveiled the new smart fitness tracker Mi Band 3i series in India.

xiaomi has been teasing a new fitness product for some time and it has finally lifted the curtain today. As we had anticipated, it is the successor to the Mi Band HRX version from a few years ago. However, it is not called Mi Band 4i but Xiaomi calls Mi Smart Band 3i. The fitness tracker is priced at Rs 1,299 and will be available for sale on Mi.com. On paper, the Mi Smart Band 3i is essentially an upgrade to the Mi Band HRX version based on the Mi Band 3.

Mi Smart Band 3i Price and Specifications

The Mi Smart Band 3i is essentially the Mi Band 3 without the heart rate tracker. Like the Mi Band HRX Edition, the Mi Smart Band 3i will track steps, calories, and connect to the smartphone to show notifications. Xiaomi will start taking pre-orders for the Mi Smart Band 3i starting today i.e. November 21.

As part of the fitness tracking function, the Mi Smart Band 3i will track steps, calories and distance. The tracker will also monitor sleep but similar to the Mi Band 3, you have to wear it at bedtime and it will automatically register your sleeping pattern. The tracker will sync all the information with the Mi Fit app and show the data in graphs and tables.

As part of the smart functions, the Mi Smart Band 3i will connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth and show you notifications on the display. Notifications will include text from messaging apps and other apps. Users will also be able to see call notifications and like Mi Band 3, they will be able to reject the call.

Technically, the Mi Smart Band 3i is an upgrade over the Mi Band HRX Edition with a larger OLED display, with a 1.9cm (0.78 in) touchscreen AMOLED display. With a bump of 110mAh with large battery capacity, Xiaomi says that the Smart Band 3i can survive up to 20 days of use. The band is also water resistant up to 5ATM, meaning you can wear it in the shower or swimming and it will continue to work.

The Mi Smart Band 3i will continue to be sold in India along with the Mi Band 4. Xiaomi is still selling Mi Band 3 with heart rate sensor for Rs 1,799.
